Wow! Thanks for chasing this down with me … ( :
Great work you have done… helps greatly
When DP crashes on the bounce have you checked your Project Bounce folder?…. totally random file sizes here…. some less than a KB and, usually, one some many GB…. Do trash and empty bin … yes ….that 60 GB file was, in fact, taking up 60 GB of drive space!! Purge the crashed bounce files ! ( :
Also notice that when DP crashes it usually needs to be then also Force Quit? If too many crashes in a row it will take my computer down … requiring Force Restart
2) with outputs assigned to busses, bounces consistently crashed if more than one track AND more than one output bus was selected in the bounce dialog.
I am not selecting any Output Busses as such…. so, in my case, “ will crash if bouncing more than one Track to the same bus… regardless of any Outputs” BUT ….
Perplexingly, some similarly bussed tracks *can* be bounced simultaneously!! …I think I have a headache
I am able to bounce any number of bussed tracks … but only one track per bus at any one time… As I noted before, I can bounce Snr Top, Kik In, Tom 1 etc … all output to their respective Auxes… successfully in one bounce. Then do the other similarly routed bussed tracks on another bounce pass eg Snr Btm, Kik Out, Tom 3 … works like this for me …
As you say bayswater, just use normal freeze for now if that’s what you want…
Re: your most recent post... I did find, sometime earlier, that shorter files of the problematic bussed Tracks could sometimes bounce without crashing... Somehow the full-length problem tracks crash consistently... Mama Mia
Thanks for the teamwork…. much appreciated
