If you are running on an SSD and upgrade to the current Mac OS, 7.24 will not run–even if already installed.

Any clue as to how a SSD affects that, Mike. Operating system I can understand. Is there other software that you know of with the same issue?

Judging by Motu's recent focus, probably have another 6 or 7 audio interfaces to release before DP10 hits.

Funny you should ask. I wondered if anyone would catch that.

Although DP 7.24 will no longer install after El Capitàn, it will run on a fusion drive or HHD over High Sierra. This is because APFS does not work on those drives and the installer will not try to update them. Likewise if booting from an SSD connected via USB 2 and updating the OS on that (can’t guarantee it but that’s what happened to me). 7.24 could read the CD and authorize by creating the hidden Authorization File it can use.

When I popped that drive into an eSATA dock, booted into it and reinstalled OS 10.13, the SSD was automatically updated to APFS and 7.24 could not create an Authorization file it could use — nor could it access the one I had already created. The CD was found and spun up but eventually wound down and the Authorization screen kept popping up blank again.
In both cases, I was using the same CD in the same drive and copying the license info from a text file I use for that purpose.

I have no doubt that there are other apps that have issues only if the drive is formatted APFS. I have not found any on my system that didn’t also fail in 10.13 when formatted HFS+ . Finale 2011 failed both ways, for example.

Yeah, because MOTU only has one engineer, and if he's working on interfaces, he can't work on DP.

Or maybe, MOTU isn't a single entity, but a company that employs many people, some of whom are working on hardware projects and others working on software projects.

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

Just upgraded to 9.5 from 7.24.
Preliminary test shows no issues and works well with Reason 9.5.

Just updated to version 10; I have a curious impression in terms of the pace of updates.
I'm having a problem with validation in VST3 format, I emit a Techlink.
Not even an answer; a felt opposite for me at the release of previous versions.
There are details ignored by the users but I find MOTU rather discreet and very silent.
