Just hold I and double click your soundbite ....done
Sometimes a popular search engine, an amazing user forum, and a clever and succinct post will save the day.
I was editing an audio book, wanted to click a region in the SEQUENCE window and snip the soundbite (COMMAND-J), but selecting the soundbite isn't the same as a selection-range as far as DP is concerned. So I was using "Set to Selection Bounds" from the top of the tracks overview. But that was a hassle because no matter how precisely I clicked, it always did stuff to the left or right of that pop menu (which is a bug hardly worth mentioning, but annoying).
Hold "i" and dbl click the soundbite, command-j, and bob is my uncle.
