Isn't the new SMPTE plugin suppose to be in this update?

I've optimistically got my fingers crossed. It would be so wonderful to see this working again. I think it's been broken longer than it ever worked! I'll be trying this out soon.stubbsonic wrote:Hey Shooshie, did you see that they worked on Tap Tempo? Nice.
Probably easy to get what you want if you just clone new projects off of old ones in the Chunks window. That may be as close to "saved sets" as we can come, since a saved track set would require an identical layout, so cloning the chunk is essentially the only way we can get that. So, I'm not sure this is a workaround, or if it even works, since I haven't examined it yet, but I'm guessing they'd have given us saved sets if it were possible any other way.bayswater wrote:Notes say: "Track layouts are bound to their sequence chunk and saved with the project." So it looks like there are no separate files saved for these presets. Makes sense because they would be specific to the sequence where they are created.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:The Track Selector set doesn't seem to save presets unless you save a project first.

I just tried this and it is working fine here.Michael Canavan wrote:OK, yes definitely on my system VSTi MIDI routing is hosed in the 9.02 update.
I've been getting in to using NI Maschine for drums lately; the VSTi can change whole patterns on the fly with MIDI notes, which you can record directly from the hardware and out of the plug in. To do this Maschine must be in a V-Rack, that way DP reports the VSTi as a virtual input and output. 9.02 is wreaking havoc on this, reporting three instances of Maschine VSTi etc.
Going back to 9.01 it all works as expected.
I am no longer getting the splash screen either.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I still don't get the splash screen at launch, only when I select "About DP" from the top menu item.
I'm a little confused - do you have two issues? I know you wrote about the tripling of MIDI entries earlier.Michael Canavan wrote:VST, AU as it stands doesn't send MIDI out from plug ins, this is needed with Maschine to set up Scene firing. ElCapitan, latest everything, except DP as of now.. I'll talk to MOTU tech about it, phone calls are quicker. It works really well in 9.01 BTW, and because AU is crippled this way it's something Logic cannot do.musicman691 wrote: Ouch. Are you using vst or au format plugins? And what version of OSX?
I think I'm in the minority on OSX in terms of using VSTi MIDI out with DP9, so I'm not surprised this bug got missed in testing.
That's the way the NAMM videos seemed to say; the external hardware plugin routing deal is in the coming features category but SMPTE I thought was in 9.02.kwiz wrote:Isn't the new SMPTE plugin suppose to be in this update?
For testing another D.P. version, the Download section is very convenient with the older versions: http://www.motu.com/download/download_m ... oduct_id=1RodneySauer wrote:This is grim. I guess I'll force-quit, and see if Time Machine can give me version 9.01 back.
Just because I was curious…mikehalloran wrote:No, it does not.
