There it is. Let's see if that works.

Wow! That's good info-- I didn't even know about that!

Is that menu of streams new with 10.9.2? I don't remember seeing that before in anything except DSP-Quattro.

No idea. I only noticed it after the 9.2 update. It could have been there earlier; I can be pretty unobservant at times.

THANKS A MILLION! That was really helpful.
It's also a neat little control panel. Quite flexible and easy to configure especially for surround.

Now THAT is a good idea for backup that I haven't been doing.
It's worthwhile reading these threads even though I haven't upgraded to Mavericks yet.
Has anyone closed the Tech Support ticket with MOTU so they know about this?

I am in touch with Motu. They were not aware of this Problem. Let's see where this goes. I'll update as I have news.
Update 2014-03-07: They confirmed the issue with 828mkII. 828mkIII is not concerned. Since there is an upcoming music fair at frankfurt it will very likely take 2 weeks until action on this will happen.

I had the same problem. No configuration within the MOTU device under Audio Devices was working, and I was not getting ANY output whatsoever. Here's how I got it working:
- Within "Audio Devices" create an "Aggregate Device"
- Select the box next to "MOTU 828mk2" to enable it within the aggregate.
- Enable the Input and Output Channels you're using by clicking the numbers and naming them appropriately.
- Setup the default Output in the "Configure Speakers" window by checking either "Main Out" or "Analog"
Here's the interesting part... I found that if I DELETE the Aggregate Device, the audio will continue to push through whatever output I had selected before deleting it even though another device is now selected as the default I/O. When this happens, nothing I change within the "MOTU 828mk2" device will have any effect on the output routing. But... if I just keep the Aggregate there and have it selected, I can just make any adjustments from within there with no issue. I'm now up and running with Logic Pro X and can get back to work, yey!
Also, I don't know if it's worth mentioning that I'm running a Hackintosh
Hope this helps! Cheers.

My Ultralite Mk 3 is fine, but my original Traveler acts like the above examples.

Welcome to the board. We don't really condone Hackintosh stuff here on this board. It is a violation of the MacOS software license. I know many people do it, but the existence of the pirate emoticon on this board should not be construed to mean that this board condones any sort of piracy. I delete and ban software pirates when it's obvious they're using pirated copies of DP or other music software. I'm NOT saying you're doing this, but the Hackintosh thing is really kind of "iffy" here and I wouldn't boast about it on this board.

Apolologies for my ignorance, but rather than try to understand what the problem was with 9.2 and my 828mkII -- I simply held off on updating to 9.2. Does this new driver solve all the problems -- am I now safe to upgrade to 9.2 as long as I use this new driver? Thanks!

The driver restores the functionality for the affected machines. At least it does for my 828mkII.

Thankfully, the new update worked for my 2408 MK3 on the MacPro, and the 828 Mk3 on the MacMini. (Next time, I'm going to be careful when updating the OS.)
