Re: Mixer question
I'm with HCMarkus on this one: open your New project, set up the Mixer window on the second monitor, then, "Save As Template" or overwrite your New project (I'm probably the only one here idiosyncratic enough to have a "New Project" that I open every time) so that you always start out that way. In my case, though, up until the mixing stage, I like the flexibility of only having my selected tracks open in the mixer window/frame ... of course, then, when I get to the mixing stage, I get irritated by having to select all my tracks every time I want to switch back to the Mixer window.

trk selector location
My trk selector used to be a long column to the left of the mixer but my prefs got jacked and now they take up half the mixer screen horizontally which is a waste of space. I tried consolidation windows prefs but can get it to drop in to the that long vertical strip on the left as before. Can someone tell me how to pop a window into a consolidation window and keep it's exact size & location? Thanks

Re: Mixer question
Just in case anyone missed it, the quickest and easiest way to detach the mixer window from the Consolidated Window, IMHO, comes to you courtesy of Shooshie on page 2 of this thread. Works like a charm. Once the mixer window is detached, it will remain in the state you last left it.
Cheers,
Geoff
Thanks again Shoosh.Shooshie wrote:To detach a window from the CW, double click in the space, top-right of that window, beside the tabs.

Re: Mixer question
There is a Board layout function in the Mixer Window where you can save and reload different Board setups very quickly. It's to be found in the Mini meny. This way you can make and store layouts for different track groups and purposes. Great for showing all BGV with FX tracks etc.
