Yes but I think it is a very old version..it is up to 4.1.3 right now, or something like that. I erased it off my hard drive. I am guessing the file got corrupted because it took 10 hours to download and my internet connection is shady at bestmikehalloran wrote:>do I need to download 3.2.<

Re: Easiest RAM trick *ever*
X-Code is OS specific - as I found out installing it on older systems that I take care of.
3.2.5 is required for SL 10.6 and works fine. It is still available for free download per the links on earlier pages. v4.x is paid - no reason to go there for this.
Found this on Mac OS Rumors:
>I've been searching for a solution and cannot find one.
I'm trying to download the latest (3.2.5) XCode build. I'm using Snow Leopard with the latest software updates, logging in to iOS Dev Center in Safari and this link won't work. Just brings up a blank page and won't initiate the download...
Help...?!<
>I was having the same problem yesterday. I Emptied the Cache and deleted all cookies in Safari and then it started to work.<

Re: Easiest RAM trick *ever*
I am going to try and re download it. I doubt my internet will stay connected long enough to do it though.

Re: Easiest RAM trick *ever*
Hey, thanks! I downloaded the XCode, and have been running the purge commands. I've been noticing a difference, but at the moment I'm not doing any mixing or anything that would really make me sit up and take note.
I am, however, realizing that I am a resource hog, right now I am using 1.5 GB's and all I am doing it using Safari, and whatever background resources. I think I'll fire up the old Activity Monitor and see what might be happening that doesn't need to be.
But frankly, I have everything running at 64 bit for a reason, and the solution is likely just more RAM. I have 6 GBs, I think it's time to go to 10 soon.

What's even more fun is invoking LaunchBar, typing "term" (space) "purge" (return) and watching it all happen magically. Typing "term" brings up the "Run Terminal Command" action.
Even more fun the next time you do it, because the word "purge" is still there from the last time you typed it in.
