"Set Bite Gain" What on earth is it doing?

It would also be nice if MOTU would just stick a global bite gain fader into the project tracks pull down so we could trim or maybe even automate input bite gain levels. Yea?

sorry but I have to correct zaratero
bite gain and bite volume are BOTH post insert

just try it with any plugin that has a meter

actually this makes sense, as if you want a post-insert volume automation you have the volume fader automation

Do you mean they are both PRE insert?
