Thank you! Blimey, what a friendly board!monkey man wrote: Jyoti! Welcome man!

You know, I was just about to post this impression in my reply to Tonio above. I think that Logic looks the slicker out of the two apps but, so far, DP feels more "musical." I'm experimenting with the rubato capabilities, something I find very liberating.Good choice too, especially if you're still the practical guy you were a few years back. DP is more "old school" in its approach in many ways, and is configured more logically than the competition, IMHO.
Yeah, I am me.That was you, wasn't it? I recognised your name straight away, as even though I didn't get to hear the White Town song (was it "Your Woman" or something?), I truly respected what you achieved with your cassette-based (8 track?) setup. Well done man, and again, welcome to your new home!

And thanks again. Yep, all that stuff was done on a Tascam 688, great machine for the time. It was sequenced on a 520STFM using Sequencer One which came free on the cover of Atari Format magazine!
Thank you andSeems like you already have a fan in UnicornLand, albeit in the unfortunate form of a rather mobile and agile furr ball.

I shall be annoying all of you with inane DP newbie questions shortly!
I was worried by all the threads about the GUI, moved features etc. but I took the plunge cos Logic was annoying me so much. And I'm glad, DP just feels so much more, um, logical and responsive. That may sound like a strange thing to say but I think every DAW is a different flavour of the same instrument. I'm not saying that, objectively, DP is *better* than Logic. Just that, in my short experience, it suits me more.
It's Les Paul vs. Strat or Andromeda vs. P08, innit?
