WO.. what a slap in the face..you mean.. No one here uses internal drives..
and here I am thinking..internal is faster since its already on the mother board. and does not have to go through any cards.. I bought 3 brand new sata drives... all internal.. one was a Raptor 10,000 RPM .. tell me exactly which pci Xpress card your using.. ? bought from where? Price? and which external drives you use so I can buy two. one for recording and one for my sound library.. this will work out great cause I've been having a big dilema..
My mac pro at home studio..has the 40 gig sound library. but when Im on the road I did not have the library... and its a bitch trying to keep both home and external drives up to date with same library.. I guess I'll have one external drive which I use at home and carry on the road.. ..
once again..I hate to sound like a broken record.. but..
this slow drive issue was never a problem with my crappy $500.00 PC i built ..
FYI I switched cause every 2 months I had to reinstall XP PRo.. Do to computer going crazy.. just wish I had not issues with the mac..
Brand new MacBook Pro and still getting CPU overloads???
