I have to say this looks very nice. Major Major Major upgrade. It's like getting a brand new program but already knowing how to use it.

I dived in also.

I just spoke to Customer Service and the guy told me several weeks??? I guess he didn't want to commit to any precise date. :?

More waiting ahead...

Yeah, come to think of it, I think I must be thinking of when I competitively upgraded from Logic 6 to DP 4 for $350-ish.
The best way - I think (thank you MOTU for allowing it) is to purchase someone's old copy of DP. Have them transfer the ownership and then buy the upgrade. That's how I got in. I bought DP 4.12 for maybe $75 and then bought the upgrade. You need to make sure the seller actually transfers the software if it is registered. Perfectly legal and cheap.

Now, as I go along with upgrades I end up getting closer to the $795 retail price tag - but it's alright. It's spread out over a number of years.

FINALLY!

"Live window resizing allows you to see the contents of the window as it is resized."

Welcome to the 21st century DP!

Did anyone see anything about engine enhancement or stability? I read about enhanced AU support - but to be honest - I've never really had any problems with AU in DP for any version that I have had.

Awesome! This looks to be one of the best upgrades in a long time. I will order as soon as the ".1" version is out. I have a strong aversion to ".0" software releases! :o

Now, this may be old news but still it is very nice:

" DP6 now pre-renders instrument track output before playback actually begins, allowing the computer's CPU to distribute the required processing beforehand, rather than in real time."

I pre-ordered. Looks like a great upgrade to me. Seems they've been very responsive to user requests.

New leveler plug. More frame rates. BWF. I'm sold on those three additions alone.
