Other than MOTU's interfaces and Cuemix software (and also the Focusrite Saffire), what other companies have software with their interfaces that is direct monitoring, but also works in DP with the record enabled track also play enabled? I assume these interfaces would have to have onboard DSP?
To clarify (my question must sound a bit confusing), I have the Saffire Pro, which has 'direct monitoring', also called latency free monitoring, but if I have the record enabled track in DP also play enabled, I get a 'doubled' sound. So, for better timing, I leave the track play-disabled, and record. However, for punching in, it's a hassle (esp. for vocals - for other things, like guitar/bass, I manage, but it's not ideal). I like to have direct monitoring, because then I can leave DP's buffer setting higher.
