Hmm - doesn't recording through insert effects "always" cause some latency? I think it even says so in the owners manual...

It is not usually perceptible. But with VW2 there can be a noticeable and obvious lag... something ain't right there.

something ain't right there
No great mystery here....VW2 says right on the screen (bottom left) that it has 49.3 ms latency. That is almost a 1/32nd note at 120bpm, which is easily audible.
