no more spektral delay or vokator....

heres the response from NI when I asked about them in K5

Hello David,

the development for Spektral Delay and Vokator has been disontinued, that's
why they're not part of Komplete 5 anymore. Of course you can continue using
them as long as your system is compatible but both products won't receive any
future updates.

Best regards,

Stefan Frohne

Good news in Powerbook land. Massive runs flawlessly. Highest CPU I saw after playing with presets for a while was like 55%. Awesome. I can keep in on the Powerbook and run that setup like a dedicated synth module.

Massive sounds amazing, btw. Very exciting.

The only one I've had a chance to use since doing the install this weekend, is Guitar Rig 3. And I only took the time to try that one because I was suspect that the installation was flawed.

Here's a caveat, but it may not apply to everyone's installation: Guitar Rig now stores its presets in the user account directory tree vs. the system directory tree (though there are some shadow copies there as well).

My particular installation only installed the first four or five presets. As none of the Guitar Rig 2 presets are shipped with Guitar Rig 3 (even as legacy presets), and as the ones with the same or similar names have either different presets or a different order to the presets, I imported ALL of my Guitar Rig 2 presets into Guitar Rig 3, and then imported the ones that failed to install properly into the presets folder.

After verifying Guitar Rig 3, I then felt it safe to delete Guitar Rig 2 from my system. I look forward to using the new features and new plug-in effects. The new interface is a bit easier to read, but at first I thought it wasted real estate until I did a direct comparison. They actually use the same proportional layout for the browser and the effects block.
