Yes, it can, I just did it. Updated the firmware to 1.07 (with sysex, remarkably simple using the free sysex librarian mentioned before), after updating powered off, pressed top button on channel 5 while powering on.

Then I had to press the "learn" button which was on when I powered it on and it controls cuemix like a champ so far. It's nice and the faders don't make noise when they move at this point. I think the noise others reported was because the faders were 'feeding back' on themselves in some MIDI modes. Good luck.

Keith,

Could you help me understand the "Learn" mode? I'm tryin to re-program the buttons to change baby HUI mode button "rewind" and reprogram the button to "Return to Zero." Also, I'd like to reprogram the "play" button on the BCF to "toggle." Would this "learn" button help me?

thanks,
XYZ

i got my BCF2000 yesterday and i didn't sleep the whole night playing thru it.

the only problem i have with it is that Audio MIDI Setup does not detect the device via USB. even after setting it to U-1.
my powermac G5 however detects it. (check About this Mac, USB hubs)

I had to connect it to my traveler via MIDI for it to work. even that too i had to create a new device in AMS.

if anyone could offer me any solutions to this, it would be awesome.

a question about Cuemix, somehow i only get controls over the faders in BUS 1. I can control Bus outputs with some button pressing, but how can i switch the faders to control the rest of the bus channels?

is it possible for the BCF2000 to control the gain pots?

any help offered would be much appreciated!

Can one use this device SOLELY as a control surface, and not for audio I/O or for the mixing bus?

I'm seriously considering it at its low cost, for convenience and because I'm having increasing hand problems with constant mouse usage (yes, there are other approaches to this problem, but I haven't found one yet that is good enough to convince me).

If the sliders are "noisy", I wouldn't care, if I just use the surface to set things while playing around with a mix, and then leave them physically alone while tracking, bouncing, mixing, etc.

It is only a controller, no audio passes through it
