4.61 is randomly quitting on me just messing around with grouping faders and stuff on my MBP 2ghz.

Sorry, no joke.
The proof that that won't happen is that there was no DP 3.12. 3.11 had a couple of nasty bugs (disappearing plugins for one), and it was never fixed before moving on to 4.0
