Thanks again, everyone, for all the encouragement and kind words. I know I let a lot of the comments go by without responding. But that's just because you guys are too kind, I can't keep up!! :)

This has become a creative outlet for me that I never knew needed letting out. I'm still learning a ton and don't think I've achieved GUI nirvana yet...but we're getting there together, right?

1.2 looks great, but I noticed that the continuous controllers display in the MIDI edit window don't show bars anymore, just points.

Ooops. Made the controller display area too dark. You can't do anything other than light colors there, apparently.

Awesome dood! :) Found one little issue. The rounded corners in the Mixing Board. Happens at the top left and top right of mixing board area and also top left and right of V-Rack area when you choose to show mixing board and V-rack at once. Also V-Rack insert area is darker than regular mixing board insert area.

Below is screen capture:

I noticed that too, in each of the mods I tried. I figured that it is an elusive image that Amplidood still hasn't found yet.
There are so many...

Not sure how I feel about the missing "record, mute, solo" names. Which XML file are these contained in so that I can add the letters back again?

Haven't found a solution to those corners yet. Grrr. And I guess I need to release word and no word versions of the mixer buttons. I get 50/50 on the response to that. You can just move the old "Localizable.xml" file from your original DP7 over, but the buttons are not in the right place for that to work. Sigh, I just gotta make an option.

It's like that in the default DP7 app, haven't found where this is altered.

A little change of subject, but just for a minute...

This is just a thought regarding the little one in your arms there in your avatar. There's nothing kids love more than to see their parents doing something productive that they can be proud of the final outcome. It's a great chance to show the little one what you do, how you go about it, and to explain where DP comes from, and how you are altering what is already there. In the mind of most little kids, they would see what you're doing and assume that you're creating DP right there at your desk, then tell all their friends "my dad created the world's best recording studio software..." It's cute, but embarrassing to the child when she learns she (innocently) exaggerated. Better to hear you explain it in detail, so she'll know that you're taking something great and making it BETTER! And that very few people can do this. And that you have a following of fans here at MOTUNation who love what you do. This can make a kid really proud, while incorporating her into what you're doing and making her a part of it.

Set her up with a computer with similar graphics software and give her some of the files you work on, and teach her to use paint bucket, select tools, and so forth (when she's ready). By keeping your kids' computers up to date, and making sure they have things that stimulate their interest and give them hands-on control of their own creations, you will raise extremely bright children. This is one of the keys to empowerment! And it makes such a difference in a kid's life. Don't ever underestimate what they can do; they'll surprise you.

And I seriously think you DO have a talent worth emulating and inspiring your kids with.

There were years when I could not buy a new computer for myself, but I always made sure my kids had the latest Macs and plenty of software -- games, drawing programs, word processors, encyclopedias, dictionaries and so forth -- to keep them busy and fascinated. They are so talented now! They literally grew up with the dotcom age and saw games go from little arcade things (which are still great fun) to complicated role playing games, or 1st-person shoot-em-ups. My daughter freaked out her male friends in high school by kicking their asses at Quake3 Arena easily and consistently. They took her to conventions and filmed her playing. She had the high score on every game in our house, and not by a little bit, but by millions. That's what happens when they grow up with these things.

Now she could care less about games; she's at Yale in her final year, and has lived more than most people my age. Computers, information, music (both to listen to and play), outdoor trips and outings, and parents that inspire them... That's some of the stuff that creates great kids. Don't leave it to the teachers; you've got a teachable moment right there, and seeing you so into what you're doing will make your kid(s) thrilled to learn about it.

Write a damn book already, Shooshie. If everyone in the world could tap into that sage-level wisdom, we wouldn't have the insanity we have going on right now.

Those are deeply inspiring words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
