Bookended between Beethoven and a Fender bass. How cool is that!
(Um... that
is a Fender bass, isn't it? The pick ups don't look right.)
Those are standard pickups on a Precision Bass.

There are 2 types of bass pickup patterns I thought from Fender, Jazz and precision. That looks like a Jazz bass if I remember correctly.

Thanks Col. Been a while since I played one of those... like since 1967...
Must be the pickup cover I was thinking of...

It's a P-bass. The pickup are Seymour Duncans. I bought it out of Cragslist, but I suspect I may have been fleeced as the original pickguard was not multi-ply, I bought a replacement and there is no gold in the Fender logo on the headstock, so I might have a cheaper bass that was made to look like a Fender.

I put Antiquity pickups on my Epi LP and wow are they bright. Wonder if SD's would've been better. How do you like the SD's on the P bass? Hey if it sounds good your ok.

I've just consulted with my DP support crew, and they believe this thread has gotten out of head. You'll have to excuse us; that's just sort of how we think. But they are excellent advisors for me, as they never disagree with a word I say, seeing as how they have no words to say anything back.
In any case, they tell me that bOing's situation is getting a little out of head, more than most, and that he should come back and try to feel the love. It's there. It's just that with advisors like these backing us up, things get out of head very quickly. We often say things that... well... to put it mildly: are just downright silly. We'd regret it if we had half a brain, but we're having to share, and... anyway, you can see the problem.
Our level-headed best to all,
Shooshie and Staff
