DP 8.1 Wishlist

There is only one feature I miss when switching from Logic Pro to DP.... Logic is kind of always recording and discarding any MIDI events that happen when the transport is running. So if you play an absolutely brilliant practice pass while figuring out a part (and I've had amazing accidents happen or moments when I was just simply so far into the zone that I played something awesome) but weren't recording, you press a "Capture" button, and everything you did since the last pass appears in the track.

I would love to have that in DP.

I don;t know if anyone has thought of this one yet.
A 1/2 solo mode like the MIDI has, BUT FOR AUDIO!

It is a really great feature of DP that it can 1/2 and even less than 1/2 solo MIDI.
I would LOVE that for audio. That would truly put DP head and shoulders above other DAWs.
Seems like it should be possible right?

An update to the user interface to support retina displays would be nice.

Maybe not for 8.1, but someday I would like to see the Mixer added to the Undo History, or maybe have a separate Undo History, or just History, for the Mixer.

I can't tell how many times I've accidentally changed a setting (with or without knowing it at the time), and then I have to go through this ritual of finding out what the setting used to be.

I don't know how hard it would be to implement this, but I hope it happens someday.

God yes. In Pro Tools the mixer and text things work with the undo. I’ve often started to rename a track or something and can’t remember what it said before, and there’s no undo.

I would also LOVE an easier way to rename the audio files when I rename the soundbite. If you rename a soundbite that is the whole audio file it should give you the option to rename that too.
