Not what I'm seeing here. Have you reported that to MOTU?

I have no idea. Sometimes when I use Tapatalk it looses placement in the thread since the replies are not threaded on the board. In general, it applies to ANYONE who has reported a bug on the board and hasn't sent a report to MOTU.

Early in one of the DP 9 issues threads, a few people reported sluggish performance on large templates. I hadn't seen it but out of the blue yesterday it happened. I could either play a sequence, or edit and move mixer controls, but not play and edit at the same time. Turns out, for whatever reason, the project had been saved to my startup drive. Moving it to my audio drive fixed things. There was no indication in the DP performance meter that anything was amiss.

Don't know if this problem has been mentioned here or not but a session I opened yesterday had most of it's MIDI output assignments jumbled up. Opened DP9, opened the session. Said session has 15 MIDI tracks of which 5 were assigned to instruments (3 instances of Omnisphere and 2 instances of EWQLSO using the Play 4.2.2 engine); the other 10 MIDI tracks did not have any assignments - this is what was in the session when I last worked on it a couple of days ago. The 10 unassigned MIDI tracks's outputs had random assignments to the existing Omnisphere and Play instances. And the tracks that were assigned had the assignments swapped; what was assigned to Play was assigned to Omnisphere and vice versa.
Anybody else seen something like this (or even just random re-assignments) and reported it to MOTU via Techlink? If not, let me know and I'll open a Techlink on this.
Note that this is with the DP9 download and not the dvd version.

Is the just the assignments, or are the bundles messed up? There have been a lot of problems over the years with bundles changing, and that gets reflected in assignments.

This is for the routing between a MIDI track and an instrument track; no bundle used. I create an instrument track with a vi on it and route the output of the MIDI track to a channel in the vi on said instrument track. At this point the only bundle being used was to route the output of the instrument tracks to my 2 bus.

OK. The problem noted earlier in the thread where it was not possible to change the MIDI track output assignments at all would perhaps be related to this. I haven't seen assignments change though.

I'd seen the mention of the 'not able to change' the MIDI track outputs but that's one I've not run into. This is the first time I've run into this where the output assignments randomnly changed on me. But definitely there is something amiss with the output assignments and my guess is the various things are related like you say.
I will raise a Techlink with MOTU none the less so they can add it to the matrix.

Just the other day for the first, time DP9 could not find the MIDI assignments of a certain instrument. Bundle were OK. I shut DP down and checked the Audio MIDI Setup, and all was well. Reopened DP and all was well. Seems related to the last couple of posts. I honestly can't tell the difference between the DL and DVD versions.

Just a note here... when DP9 came out, having a thread with this title was fun, but it is really counter productive for those searching the forum for answers, especially those browsing recent posts.
Specific are better served with specific topics.
Just sayin...

I agree. This forum is easier to search than many others but it still leaves a few things to be desired in that regards.
Separate threads for specific problems can make things easier to find especially when the same question is asked 6 months later. Then a quick search can find the older thread so that a link may be pasted.
