I agree Chaim. 75-100 tracks of orchestration@512 buffer renders a macpro quad shaky at best here. When it was hovering around 30-35% before turning on Eucon.

1024 buffer.

I'm doing band mixes that are generally around 30-50 tracks. I have, V-racks, VI's and plenty of effects going. Without Eucon, the Mac Pro is in the 75% range max, with Eucon I see frequent peaks, however playback is unaffected.

I use a MIDI controller for punching in and out of DP usually. However, I just tried to use the footswitch jack on my MC Control to punch in/out of DP and it doesn't appear to be working correctly.

I just tested the footswitch on DP 6.02, 7.0, 7.02 and 7.1 and all I can get it to do is punch in.

It will not punch out in any version of DP for me.

I tried the same EuControl footswitch settings in Logic 9.1 and Live 8.1.1 and I can get both of those apps to both punch in and out using the footswitch.

I'm hoping someone else can test this.

Just updated to DP7.1 this weekend, and all seems to be going well with my MC Mix and MC control setup. EXCEPT... when I have multiple inserts on a channel, and I push the insert button, then push the button for the appropriate insert, no matter which insert I choose, the 1st insert graphic interface pops up on the screen! The controls which come up on the MC control are the correct ones for the insert I selected and they do indeed control the correct insert. I can go to DP and select the right graphic interface. Am i missing a setting somewhere or is this a bug that any of you have run into? According to the docs, as I understand them, when you select any insert, its user interface is supposed to come up.

Update - I have done a little more testing, and have found that the input buttons work as promised in logic. It seems to be DPs implementation of Eucon that has the "bug". Anyone else that can confirm (see my previous post)? Definately not a deal breaker though. I really love this control surface.

Still waiting for either motu or euphonix or both, to fix the cpu killer - bug.

DP 7.1 with EuControl 2.5.2 still no good.

Does anybody knows if they fixed the "Punch out" and processor spikes problems on DP?

Best regards.

Yes this is also happening for me - however I've found that if you move one of the control knobs on the MC Control for any one of the parameters of the desired plug (not the one that graphically appears at first), the desired plug will then appear on top of the other and all functions normally afterward - weird I know, at first I thought I was doing something wrong but i guess for now that's just how it is...

Can one "RIDE" an EQ boost within an EQ plug with this controller?
Or ride any plug in parameter for that matter?

Yes. You can also do this with a fader.

and how well? for example - I CAN do it with my HUI - but it's slow compolicated and not always responsive..

faders are much better tho..

i just wished I could get a demo to try out with my rig- I could see myself buying 3 of them if it worked...

How well does it work and how well would you guess in DP 5.13 running OS 10.4.11

Thanks for the workaround - I will give this a try.
