Hey glad you like the MID track idea, Andy. Actually, I'm not too hip on the "note" to indicate a MIDI track either and was going to use the 5-pin DIN plug also, but didn't want to make a graphic and didn't want to search DP's PNG resources in search of one. If you don't mind, maybe I'll use yours, but flip it black since my fader background is still light in color?
Interesting aside... since more and more these days we are using VIs, it occurred to me that the 5-PIN DIN connector is almost "old school" any more and it's association with MIDI is going to be diminished in the years to come.

That's the damnedest thing isn't it? Most kids now only know hooking up USB. Wow. It's still appropriate in a lot of cases...there's still lots of hardware being used out there. But it won't be long, right?

I can still remember
a few years ago... ahem... how absolutely miraculous it seemed when I could play my bass player/Keyboardist's Memory Moog from the other side of the stage using my trusty Roland G707/GR700 combo. MIDI seemed like magic when it was first introduced!
Hehehe... who is THIS guy?

Thank's a lot Amplidood's!
You gave me hope to love DP again,if they fix the other "little" problems.
I didn't like the "official" GUI at all.Boring, unreadable, using the eyes...
Your work is awesome.
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.5.2 posted....
I finally figured out how to make the new color setup work for me.
1. I use the "Use track color for wave background" option.
2. I then make sure whatever color set I'm using has plenty of color shades that aren't dark enough to turn the waveforms white.
3. I use the darker shades for Auxes and Master fader tracks. That way, on the mixer, audio and MIDI track names are always black letters, while Auxes/Master faders are white letters. Makes for very quick discernment of what I'm looking for.
4. Now when you mute a soundbite, you can actually tell it's muted. The waveforms always being black makes it easy to recongnize muted grey waves.
MOTU could pretty easily fix the muted soundbite color problem by simply make the waveform AND the background greyed out. Not too hard to figure out.

Loving all your ideas, dood - one thing I really liked from your earlier versions was the line between channels in the mixer. Is this easy to incorporate?
thx again for all your amazing work.

Amplidood, really like what you're doing. Thanks for all the hard work. A couple questions. how can I use everything from your mod EXCEPT leave the factory pan knobs?
Also, is it possible for me to slightly tweak the darkness of the background colors to make them darker, or is your color choice provided by a graphic file or something of this nature?
