I'd like to see an intelligent drum editor that supports maps from edrum kits like the Roland TD-12. the new Alesis etc. so that multiple MIDI notes for one instrument (like HiHat) and the controller information are all together in one, easy to understand and edit track : )

Hopes, Dreams and Wishes:
- Continuation of the greyscale UI, maybe with less bevel, possibly a smaller transport window
- "Exploded" tracks also being an extension of track folders... making track folders into some kind of "smart folders"
- CONTEXTUAL MENUS, GOD DAMNIT!
- Redesigned drum editor
As far as new compressor and convolution reverb: thank god.
$200 price tag... we'll see, but knowing me, I'll probably order it within the first few months.

What amazes (or depresses) me is the lack of coverage of DP6 anywhere (nothing on Macmusic, Sweetwater, Harmony Central, KVR). Does this reflect how small the user base is?
It's here! Don't fret DP is the darling of all older composers/mixer/producers - it's here to stay baby!

I was kinda hoping for optional broadcast Wave support, But maybe that will come in the future. SDII is getting kinda long in the tooth, but it's still workable. Especially since you can now bounce directly to CD.
It's coming... and yes Broadcast Wave File (.wav or .bwf) is now the world-wide cross-platform standard audio file. I'm just relieved that MOTU have finally acknowledged that.

no quickscribe changes mentioned in the demo I saw. I sure wish they'd implement grace notes!!!! (hint: MOTU- are you listening!?)

i watched the demo a couple of times today and it seemed to have some pretty nice enhancements from dp5.
i like the expanded takes feature...which addresses the main reason i don't use takes: juggling the various take tracks when it comes time to comp. just expand...and they're all laid out in individual tracks.
the new interface really did nothing for me. maybe i'm just so comfortable with the one in DP5...but sometimes i think we all fall into the trap of fixing something thats not broken...
the la2a limiter sounded very nice from what i could tell in the cacaphony of the hall. the new keyboard vi's ( rhodes, wurly...etc) sounded nice also...though once again, it's not like namm is a critical listening environment.
the ability to work with FCP is a very smart strategy. hey, when walter murch uses FCP...you know avid's not the only player in town anymore.
coolest software at the show: snapper by audioease. $79 and it's gonna save me so much time. you can check it out at their site.
lamest part of the show: the non-stop bass thumping. seriously, it was cool in 1995....just play some notes please.
most stylish piece of gear i want( but don't need): new rhodes electric piano in arrest me red finish.
most uncertain feeling towards a manufacturer: spectrasonics. eric is a genius, his products are amazing...but i still feel really abandoned by the way he handled ( or didn't) the atmosphere and trilogy intel upgrade. omnisphere looks and sounds super...but no ship date and no price. even 50 gigs of sounds can't wash the bad taste out of my mouth...

Frankymax, I third that and a real quickscribe revisitation adding many articulations so that you can select a group of notes and create the performance for the effect.
