So this behavior was happening in DP 11.31 and 11.32. Still happens in DP 11.33, but as I said, I think it doesn't even work initially now, but you do get the "n/a" in the OLEDs after you quit DP and relaunch it. I need to make an updated video I guess.

The video is UNLISTED... as I'm not looking to call widespread attention to this. But I do hope it gets fixed. It also should illustrate just how useful this feature is, and I'd add that this capability is available for FREE if you have an iPad (or Android tablet), with the Avid Control. Ummm... that is if you're using Pro Tools, Cubase or Logic. Not working on DP unfortunately.

If you go to YouTube you can watch in full res, but it's only 720p for some reason. Sorry about that.

Just want to provide an update as the self-appointed "squeaky wheel" and honorary "thorn-in-the-side" to MOTU on this issue. A source a MOTU had told me that Avid needed to tweak some stuff. I was skeptical. However, as a result of my occasional badgering of a source at Avid, I received word that they do have a new version of EuControl in development that will address this issue, so there is HOPE!!! Hooray.

Now if MOTU could just address the Hardware Insert plugin... I would be somewhat happy camper! :)

That's great, apparently NI opened up NKS support for the Komplete Kontrol plugin with Akai, Novation and M-Audio keyboards.

I'm torn, I have a copy of Bitwig and it's not a kitchen sink DAW really, no movie, score, articulation map, ARA, Sys Ex, simplified quantization choices etc. but it does have a built in system of reordering plugin parameters to macro controls like you show in the Eucon software built right into it, and an extensive list of dozens of controllers that work with this ability, including the Kontrol series of keyboards and even the Push controllers, all with screens naming each knob in the case of the ones like Kontrol S49, 61 and 88's, so every time you instantiate a plugin, it retains those controls.

Beyond fixing the output assignment issues with Clippings, this is the thing I would love to see DP adopt in 12, an integrated system of macro settings that allow hardware to address parameters in plugins in an order you determine.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.
