Just want to provide an update as the self-appointed "squeaky wheel" and honorary "thorn-in-the-side" to MOTU on this issue. A source a MOTU had told me that Avid needed to tweak some stuff. I was skeptical. However, as a result of my occasional badgering of a source at Avid, I received word that they do have a new version of EuControl in development that will address this issue, so there is HOPE!!! Hooray.James Steele wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 6:37 pm Okay... here's a video I made back in March 2024 when I first reported the issue. DP was version 11.31. So this behavior was happening in DP 11.31 and 11.32. Still happens in DP 11.33, but as I said, I think it doesn't even work initially now, but you do get the "n/a" in the OLEDs after you quit DP and relaunch it. I need to make an updated video I guess.
The video is UNLISTED... as I'm not looking to call widespread attention to this. But I do hope it gets fixed. It also should illustrate just how useful this feature is, and I'd add that this capability is available for FREE if you have an iPad (or Android tablet), with the Avid Control. Ummm... that is if you're using Pro Tools, Cubase or Logic. Not working on DP unfortunately.
If you go to YouTube you can watch in full res, but it's only 720p for some reason. Sorry about that.
Now if MOTU could just address the Hardware Insert plugin... I would be somewhat happy camper!
