Same here. Even if the plugin is bypassed. Maybe has something do with the new post fader metering option. I don't know how that would be, but presumable something was done with the signal path related to post fader audio.

I decided to post a TechLink. I reported the post-fader problem and the clocking issue I'm having with system sound.

Thanks, Robert. I'll keep my eye on that thread.

Page links in the manual are working again. There are updates to reflect 9.X. But there are still a lot of missing figures.

Note, the section on pre-gen suggests adjusting Prime Milliseconds settings to fine tune VIs and plugsins

Are we supposed to just “guess” at this or is there some sort of hint as to which way to adjust the numbers in a given problematic scenario? Not a fan of just “moving numbers around” without knowledge of how or why.

I guess you read the Getting Started manual section on this parameter and what it does. I've adjusted this a couple of times to good effect, so it can't be that difficult.

Getting a lot of crashing even after I trashed prefs.

-DP 9.1
-828mkiii hybrid
-Not many 3rd party plugins
-os 10.11.6
-MBP 2.5ghz 2015

I'm always the one who doesn't have problems on the upgrades so maybe something odd going on.

What makes it “difficult” is waiting for load times on large session files.
If I could turn a dial, and immediately hear whether any adjustment improves or worsens play, then you’d be right and it would be “easy”. So in reality, we're talking;A- blind tweaking. B- waiting for the session’s audio engine to re-load on large sessions, 1-2 min a pop. C- long comparison times between settings making it hard to tell if there’s any real benefit. With all that in mind, I’d have to read the manual where you mentioned it before I started tweeking, and I’d hope there is some sort of “advise” like, lower= ________ and higher=_____________
Peace :D

By the way, I just realized, did MOTU release this on a weekend? I forgot. They’re going to come back to work Monday and have a lot to catch up on.

You know, part of me would feel happy about that and part, sad for them..lol.
I might go back to 9.02.
1) Not digging the looping glitch when undoing and changing loops. (I change loops a lot and 9.02 was smooth).
2) Not seeing any processor change or improvement of note. (Could that be because I run all VI’s in Ve Pro and thus, DP can’t appear to benefit from efficiency improvments without running the VIs itself?)
2 b ) I will have to do an experiment to transfer VIs to DP and see if I still need VE Pro at all.
3) My snap shot automation bug, the one I’ve been DREAMING of being fixed in this update....alas....still exists. I’m cry’n
4) I’m seeing tiny weirdness as I work the 1st time tonight and I am too busy to pay much attention but I know there are little bumps in the DP road here and there.

So a 9.1.1 would be nice!

But WHOS issues will get addressed?

Now THAT’S the question. :D

I just thought of an idea that could really help things. It would be AMAZING if the plug in windows had an additional icon at the bottom, (like the MIDI learn button), to be used for turning the realtime off and on in a given plug. It would make changing so much easier! And Id love it if they put BACK the global option. But at least make getting to the realtime capability----EASIER... :D
(If anyone likes this idea, chime in with a +1 for MOTU.)
Or not.....just an idea.
