So sorry about the wait my friends. 2 shows left on this tour after tonight. I barely have to time to do anything out here...

I don't mind waiting, Andy. But I sure hope you do Gotham and Oxidized. Also Sleek!
Then again, I love just about all your mods/themes. Not so much Nostalgia and Snow, but those which differentiate from MOTU's default are all good. Enjoy the rest of your tour, and we'll see you when you get back.

Gotham is lovely (I have this, too), but it is no Gold Mellow hybrid...

I liked the interface designed by
Iperformer: shame he stopped.

Gold Mellow hybrid is my favourite too.

Kind of…
Yes, kind of, because the two beautiful Gold themes I bought from Andy share a fundamental problem – they both (perhaps all v. 7 skins?) lack the provision for changing
inserts to
post fader in the Mixer.
That's currently a show stopper for me, because the Sound Radix Pi Phase Interactions Mixer needs to be inserted post fader. Which means I can't use Andy's themes and, being a visual kind of person, get accustomed to that working environment.
Andy knows about the problem and even sent me a mockup detail of a solution. It looks very elegant. But then he vanished in smoke…
Now I see from his OP here that a tour is grabbing all his attention, and that's natural enough. But I do hope that an update of the DP 7 skins is upped to priority #1 once the tour is over…
Kind regards,
Joachim

Just FYI, dragging the pre/post fader line works fine in the ampgui Mellow theme (which is fully DP8-compatible). You probably knew this already...

Hey all.
I'm at a bit of a crossroads here. I've been seeing my mods on newer machines, newer monitors. I'm not totally confident of my color choices and tweaks anymore, since I've been working from a 2008 MacBook Pro this whole time. The screen does not nearly reflect what I feel most of the Mac world would be seeing. Until I am able to work with a more accurate monitor on a newer machine, I may not move forward very far. I want to make choices that truly work on a large scale.
Will keep you updated...

Hello Andy,
I am asking this to learn: but isn't that what monitor profiles and calibration is for? Seems that it would be impossible to gauge colour exactness for every machine and OS out there because many do not think to re-calibrate (if at all in the first place...

their monitors from time to time unless they are in the graphic design/video world. All you can do is to make sure your monitor is calibrated correctly and keep working, no? If there is more to this, please tell me as I'd like to understand this better if so.
I hope you are well,
~Shea

Trust what you're seeing. Don't worry that not everyone sees the same thing. The point is, we LIKE what we see.
It would really be nice to have at least a couple more of them updated to DP8. You can always revise them with more accurate monitors. Meanwhile, we crave some of your themes, perfect or not!

One request: please don't get influenced by Apple's current design philosophy. I think they've taken minimalism a little too far. "Content over interface," sure; but "where's my interface?" is a bit much!
I thought I liked iTunes 11... I was wrong.

Amen. And we like it ALOT!
I also echo the sentiment to maybe just fix the exiting to work with 8.01, and then see what everyone thinks. (Meaning the DP community here) And poll your current customer base.
