I don't feel alone anymore. Now I can show people this thread and and say SEE, I'm not the only one! :)

Excellent shots!

I leave my guitars in their case until I find a way to stabalize the humidity a little better here. I've a Taylor 314-CE LE, Strat Delux Plus and a Custom bass I made from an old Peavy Fury.

What you can't see either is my softsynths as well, but I did save the boxes! They're just elsewhere, MX4,Mach5,impOSCar,Wavestation,Microtonic, M1,Albino,Reaktor (That you did get to see). I also use a few free synths, Alpha Free, Crystal, Buzzer.

Effects wise, Ozone3, Trash, and a few others. Seriously considering now a UAD-1.

And for those with less stuff, let me tell you this, the one thing I suffer from sometimes is "Oh hell, now what instrument do I want to remember how to use completely" :)

(Currenly working on getting a MicrowaveXT or VirusTI, we'll see which I aquire first)

Okay... so you guys tell me... what do you do about rolling around chairs on those beautiful hardwood floors? I've got carpeting down on the floor because I'm worried about ruining the floor in my house, but the wood does look nice!

Ummm... yes... I'm very offended by this thread and I will have to study the issue further before decided what course of action to take (and how to clean the drool from my iBook keyboard!) And, Khan... that qualifies for this month's centerfold!

my wood floors are showing wear from the chairs & I will probably have to refinish them in a few years. I'm hoping for five but we'll see.

Somewhere, somebody has to make soft-wheeled chairs for hardwood floors, maybe? Something that won't damage them?

Hey James,

Try this.
http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/store ... rea=SEARCH

I used to use something like this when I had carpeting.
Carpeting is not your friend no matter what it tells you.
Carpeting likes to produce static electricity.
Your gear despises static electricity.
Therefore your gear could ultimately despise you and stop working, or at least not be friendly to you.

Yeah, I worked at an IT plays years ago that used to have a squirt bottle of fabric softener solution that they sprayed periodically on the carpeted areas near the computers. Apparently, it eliminates the static electricity.

kwiz, I thought I was the only one left with a DA98 and see you have 4 of them! I'm not using mine, but may rack it up just 'cause they look so cool :D

I'm both humbled and motivated by these pics. I'll post some tonight but, wow, you guys are uptown!

Correction, they are DA-88's  I've had them since 94' and I actually still use them. I've recorded so many projects on them that I still haven't been able to transfer everything over to DP yet. I paid $13k for the 4 of them in 94', now they're worth about $500.00 on ebay. It cost more to change the heads on these machines then they're now currently worth. :( I'm not sure if I'll ever get rid of them though....they do look kind of cool when racked.
Talk about uptown, your equipment list is amazing!
Can't wait to see the photos.
