Hey midilance,
You're one day older than me in the join date.
I'm hoping that the join date info will be retained in the new version.
Just to recognize long time members.
Or as Franklin Moorepark put it, " I may not have anything to offer, but I've been offering it for a long time."
All hail James!

Well, it looks like the board update is complete. Sweetwater banner ad will return shortly. That needs to stay... they help keep this place going, so do show them your appreciation when you can!

Re: Upcoming Board Update and Interruptions
Hey James, do you get credit for number of clicks on the banner? I usually come here and click on the banner when I want to visit the Sweetwater site. I don't know if that helps at all.

Thanks for the reminder to use the banner to go to Sweetwater.
I really appreciate this board and I usually access Motunation on my iPhone using the Tapatalk app. When I try to access it that way now the login fails. Not complaining, just mentioning it.
Thanks James!

Re: Upcoming Board Update and Interruptions
Tapatalk implementation is temporarily down. It will be restored in the coming days. In the meaning the mobile implementation of the new board software isn’t too bad.

Re: Upcoming Board Update and Interruptions
Hey Jimbo,
Move the avatar pane to the left as is traditional in the forum world? It's distracting as it is, being a creature of habit 'n all.
Thanks man. I fear the dude you used may have to look at this so hopefully it's just a standard admin option you can click yourself.
EDIT:
Just remembered to give you a heads-up that the disclaimer statement top-of-page is missing just one word to complete the second sentence - "MOTU".

Re: Upcoming Board Update and Interruptions
I haven't started taking requests. Much less tweaking. The avatar to the right is actually the standard behavior for phpBB and always has been. I used a third party mod that moved it to the left. It may stay for a while.monkey man wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 2:25 pm Hey Jimbo,

Depends I think on the zoom level and width of your screen. I can see it. As I said, I haven't opened it up to requests yet. My goal was not to have the board simply GONE two days from now and have you find an error page. No avatar relocating... no missing text... just gone. So I feel like this has been a success. I'll try to get to the other things when I can.EDIT:

The word appears on the next line to the extreme left. It's a text wrap option and image size option thing.monkey man wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 2:25 pmJust remembered to give you a heads-up that the disclaimer statement top-of-page is missing just one word to complete the second sentence - "MOTU".

D'Oh!
Thank you, Stoivo! Me and my terrible eyesight... and brain.
Thank you James for everything. The avatar-on-left thing might (or should?) be a simple admin-defined option now, I'm hoping. It has certainly become the norm and I've seen it on many phpBB boards as well as all the rest.

Re: Upcoming Board Update and Interruptions
I’ve been a little busy. I’ll get to it when I can. But I think this illustrates why I’ve never accepted money for this board. Imagine the expectations if it *weren’t* a volunteer thing I do in my limited spare time.
