Track naming and renaming is too clumsy in DP...

Anyone notice any changes in this behavior, yet?

I want to create a shell scoring template and pre-name my tracks (Violin, Viola, etc.) without having to assign the actual VST library (Kontakt, Opus, Musio, etc.). But every time I add the VST, it renames the track. Super annoying. I wish there was a preference to give us the option.

Not seeing this. When I assign a previously unassigned MIDI track to a VI, it keeps its track name. Maybe I’m not understanding what you did.
