It's not really scientific for me that more chunks bogs down projects.
It's something that started bothering me in like DP 8 or 9 or whatever, so I just stopped the practice.
I have not really tried it in years (as in DP 11 / Big Sur), as I don't work that way anymore.
And yes, as someone said above, I do have really heavy track counts, both back then and now.
Occasionally now I end up with a few extra chunks for alternate mixes or whatever, and save-times haven't been bad, but i don't try to have 20-plus chunks anymore.
How Many Chunks will DP 10 support???

OSX Big Sur (latest). Mac Pro Late 2013 ("trash-can"), 3.5 Ghz 6-Core Intel XeonE5, 64GB RAM. Motu DP 11.31, Vienna Pro Server, Presonus Notion, Osculator, Keyboard Maestro, Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.
