Yeah. I’m still getting the white blocks, and yes on El Cap. I never created a Tech Note since I thought I saw that it going to be addressed in the update. Guess I’ll create one now.

Are any non-El Cap users seeing these?

Any word on DP10.1 update?

Dix, it is an El Cap thing. I have a TechLink in and received this reply...

“Buzzy,

This is something we addressed for 10.11 specifically in the latest DP maintenance update.

I would download and install if you haven't already from motu.com/download.”

So, I went back to MOTU, thinking that maybe there was a 10.02(!) but, no. I re-downloaded 10.01.

Same bars issue.

One funny thing. The update now shows May 1, but on my hard drive it shows April 22.

10.11? Weird. A typo clearly. And weird that it, in fact, was not addressed in .01 - at least not so it fixed it for us. Yes, April 22 is the date of what I downloaded. I wonder if there’s a difference between the 4/22 and 5/1 versions

I always thought that adding a GUI layer with sliders and buttons and so-on was inefficient. You get a much more stable and snappier app if you just use binary commands. So instead of pressing the record button, you type 1100 1111 0001 0110 (And then Enter). Simple. Works great.

Hence the current version number of DP.

The 10.11 refers to the OS X. Like 10.11.6.

I don’t see any difference between 4/22 and 5/1 except for the date on MOTU’s download area.

This actually makes me sad. I knew it was bound to happen, but I'm probably alone in missing the DP8 handling of crossfades, it's probably been my biggest headache in updating to DP9. I often chop soundbites mid-fade, and I prefer it to delete the fade. I have a Keyboard Maestro hotkey for snipping and re-applying fades. With the newer DP9 system, I really have to be careful not to chop mid-fade, or it really screws everything up. I wish there was an option for this, but I understand that it's pretty specific to warrant a preference.
PM, did you see this thread? A pref for this may be in the works. An internal debate at MOTU has been reported on the subject of fade behavior.

• Allow the track (context) name to be set into AU format plug-ins for all manufacturers.

What does it mean? How to get it?

Um, what is the context of your question? Track names aren’t format dependent..

It's from "Enhancements introduced in version 10.01", and I can't understand what does it mean?

My guess is that some plugins are aware of track names in a project and publish them within the plugin, for side-chaining etc. and that this wasn't working before this 'enhancement'.

However, the CLA MixHub still does not see the names of the tracks.

Ah, well, that at least makes sense, even if it doesn’t seem to work.... Thanks for the answer!
