Mac Pro users with upgraded GPUs one thing to look out for: you need a Mac EFI GPU to do the firmware update that High Sierra applies, then you need a Metal-compatible GPU to install Mojave. There are a few cards that satisfy both criteria, but most are one or the other.

No reason to doubt it. Mojave installed another firmware update on mine even though incompatible with my iMac.
