The fate of Triumph, Myriad, and other apps is unknown at the moment.
Hey thanks!
I found a free application called To WAV converter
https://amvidia.com/guides/audio-conver ... ut-formats
It batch-processed sd2 files.
I'm going to try to figure out how it deals with stereo sd2 L/R files. I think it just automatically interleaves them if you want, which is terrific!
I do own Audiofile's Sample Manager, which they abandoned and made Myriad.
I thought Myriad was terrific, but kind of felt burnt that they did not give Sample Manager users a discount cross-grade. They sent an email saying "it's a different program", but I kind of felt a little bit burnt. One of those times when people spend way too much time time telling you why they WON'T do something!

I hear good things about that — and you can't knock the price.
Many use DSP-Quattro fr=or this and if you need a mastering app for the Mac, it's very good.

Although I have DSP-Q, I use TwistedWave. Advanced file conversion takes fewer steps and it has many other tricks I like.

I doubt this will be of much use, but if I recall correctly, once upon a time DP would not see WAV files unless the file extension was ALL CAPS — .WAV instead of .wav.

That's right. IIRC, you could import them, but not drag-and-drop.

Yep.
DP 9.5.2 solved that same problem with sd2 vs SD2.

I'm trying to help a studio whose client stored his older DP project on a PC formatted drive that indeed stripped the header info from all the sd2 files. Audapter which was mentioned here and by one of the MOTU techs was recommended, but the website is gone, and the app store says its not available in my country/region. Does anyone know how to reach the developer, or have a current active download link? $2 is not a problem for me to pay, I think I'd actually pay a bit more than what he was asking. Thanks for any help.

Amadeus and A Pro can import raw audio (which is what sd2 is without the resource fork) and save as wav or aif. you need to find the number of header bytes and samplerate and bit depth by trial and error for the 1st audio file. The others should be the same. not sure if it saves as sd2 though and also don’t know if the DP session file also needs a resource fork so this might not be enough to get you going
but it saved my bacon a few times way back...
Good Luck

Looks like the Pro version has a batch editor.

Related to this original topic...
A friend has some old DP 3 files that he is trying to resuscitate and remix. However, in the audio folder, it looks like some of the original SD II files are recognized, but some are shown in Finder as file types: "Lex source code", or "Rez source code".
I have a vague recollection that there was something like a "file header" some part of the file that included some file-type code (maybe 4 digits?)
But I guess really the short question is, "What might we try to make these SD II files readable by DP9?"

I wish I'd known this about a year ago. I posted here asking about a solution, and got nothing. I contacted MOTU support and was told that when I copied my SD2 files to a RAID, that irretrievably borked the resource files. He suggested one of the apps mentioned here, but when I searched for it, I wasn't able to find a supported version that worked on a more modern version of OSX.
Fortunately (or not), I had backed up all my sessions from that era around the year 2000 to CD-ROMs. I was able to convert the SD2 to WAV and AIF in several apps, including QT Pro, Audition, and QT Amateur, which has a batch feature. That involved reading off the CD-ROMs, and writing to my RAID. Main issue was converting the .l and .r stereo files into a single WAV or AIF. It was a time intensive process as many sessions spanned 6 or 8 CD-ROMs. And, after all that, I learned there's no way (unless I'm sadly uniformed) to link the new AIF or WAV files to any of the Sequence tracks in Performer. So, all my editing went out the window.

I am in the process of migrating DP 7.24 projects to DP 11 on a Mac Studio. I uploaded my projects to the cloud and figured what possible could go wrong... 1) DP 7.24 project files are not recognized by DP 11 and 2) All of the SD2 files of my projects are corrupted w/ the infamous "resource file not found (-193)" error. I have 100's of SD2 files per project. This is going to be fun.

Any chance you have access to those files before you “uploaded them to the cloud”? If so, find the project folders and zip them before moving them to your Studio and unzipping. You should try the same with the folders you have stored in the Cloud — it should work.
Otherwise, DP 11 certainly opens 7.24 projects (but not any 23 bit only plugins). The sdII/SD2/sd2 issue was solved in an earlier version (9.52 or 10.something, I forget).
If you can get the files to open, there are ways to batch convert files within DP.

Only the most recent projects were not backed up - and yes... those projects loaded fine in DP11. I never even thought of backing the others up up since I assumed they were "safe" in the cloud. Not just any cloud provider... this was Apple's iCloud!! WAV and AIFF sound files were fine. Just the SD2's (which is 90%). Project files seemed to be OK after I added the file extension. I will try the DSP Quattro for the conversion. I know the bit/conversion rate, so technically I can create a resource fork. Ugh...
My other issue is I didn't realize none of MOTU's dedicated MIDI interfaces support Mac OSX 10.13/14/15. 828es MIDI works fine. Micro Lite... not so much. Hope I don't have to wait long.

Servers are servers and most are probably running some type of Unix and so older Mac files that have resource forks are gonna get jacked up when uploaded to them. Sorry you’re dealing with that.

You are confusing
Not Supported with
won't work and that's a mistake. MOTU doesn't want to spend resources on support which is why current drivers are not listed.
But we aren't MOTU.
If the firmware and eProm chips are at least 2.0.1 and 1.3.2, all of MOTU's classic USB MIDI interfaces work fine—even over Monterey 12.3 on the M1. Download the correct driver for the MIDI Express XT USB—this is the one they all use. Follow the instructions. You'll have to pay attention to Security settings and follow those instructions, too.
Unfortunately, older firmware will not work — but those haven't worked in a decade or more.
