I just saw this thread.
My technique: press Start in the memory bar’s Memory Start Time just under the main counter to “mark” your current wiper position, then press Auto Rewind. Now whenever you press Play, then Stop the wiper will return to its original position.
I use this all the time. It’s fast. If you’re looking for a precise location to split at counter for example then, with Auto Rewind still on, you can move your wiper position slightly and hit Start again in memory start time to re-mark your location.
