BTW, when I looked for iDVD in the App Store (nope), I found the Toast DVD. It is the video DVD portion only of Toast. $19.99.

I really like the Audio and Data CD creation functions of Toast. For a medium that is supposedly dying, I still create quite a few.

I have been putting Toast 12 through its paces.

Roxio Video Player is greatly improved over the version from Toast 11. It can play any file type I throw at it. I didn't know it was there till I double-clicked on an unknown video file sent to me that wouldn't open in QT.

The updates have been mainly on the video side. It has a new convert function that can take these oddball files and convert them to .mov for QuickTime. It is slow even on an SSD but it worked.

At first I wasn't too impressed. It no longer seems to have the memory leak I found in Toast 11 which is good. After getting into the video on files I never expected to play, I'm really liking it a lot.
