Altiverb must face...

Welcome to my nightmare

I've had this happen to me on projects and until now never realized it was due to the move from PPC to Intel. I had old projects I would load and the reverb was gone. Turns out it would be Altiverb. The waveform display of the IR would appear as a single square wave or something-- it just looked wrong. Reloading the preset would fix it.

Regarding Altiverb, from version 6 onward (I think it started with 6, but not sure) you actually get two installs: one for AU and one for MAS. I don't know if this could be involved in your problem, but check to be sure that only ONE of those is set to run. I generally use Altiverb MAS. The AU version is simply left unchecked in the DP Audio Plugins Preferences.

I don't know about Masterverb 5. Never used it. But if that turns out to be the problem with Altiverb, it may also be happening with Masterverb. Again… I really don't know.

In Altiverb, if you click on the little "+" icon down at the bottom right of the window, you can select to rescan your IRs. Might be worth a try as this has resolved many Altiverb issues that have arisen for me.
