Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
I am having this problem now as well.
"Motu: Invert Phase" and "Motu: Reverse" plug-ins are suddenly gone.
What is the solution? Did anyone find one?

They're gone from the plugin folder as well?

What do you mean by "suddenly"? Did you just newly install DP 7, as the OP did, or did you recently update to 7.22, or just poof?beautypill wrote:"Motu: Invert Phase" and "Motu: Reverse" plug-ins are suddenly gone.

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
I was helped by a friendly Motunation person here as well as MOTU official tech support and the problem is fixed.
I don't know when precisely the plug-ins disappeared... maybe when updated to 7.22? Not sure.
Anyway, problem solved now.

They mail you the plug-ins again and you install them.
Something about updating to 7.22 seems to remove them, I think. Not sure. I know I certainly never manually removed them.
My advice: Contact MOTU support, they seemed to be familiar with the issue.

Mine are still intact. Don't know what causes it to happen to some people's systems.

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
hey beautypill, had you created folders within your MAS plugin folder, to organize your MAS plugs? That's the only thing I can think of that would possibly cause an update to burp for you, but not for tommy above.
Could be a multitude of things I'm too stupid for, though!

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
Hi All,
Hoping someone can help me with the same issue. My Reverse Plug In is missing from the Audio Plug Ins in the Audio Dropdown Menu. When I checked in Preferences though, I can see it listed there. When I contacted MOTU they were totally unhelpful. I was told they don't support earlier versions of DP with OS 10 or later, and that if I wanted help I would have to upgrade to DP 9. I'm in the middle of a film score and don't want the headache of having to learn a new version, not to mention having to spend almost $200 just to get a reverse plugin running.
Any suggestions would be super appreciated! Thanks guys!

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
You can check your MAS folder
Root Library/Audio/Plugins/MAS
to see if the reverse bundle is in there.
You can do a reinstall over your current install just see if it will replace the missing plugin. You could get into some DP prefs trashing, but I'd try the above first.
As a workaround, you could use freeware like audacity to reverse your audio then reimport.

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
Don't trash the Preferences. Don't reinstall over. There's a correct way to rebuild the paths to your plugins in DP .7 and that's with a complete uninstall and reinstall. Takes about 5 minutes. You can do a reinstall over your current install just see if it will replace the missing plugin. You could get into some DP prefs trashing, but I'd try the above first.

If you have a 7.24 CD, you run it from the CD only.
True, DP 7.24 is no longer supported but it works fine.
After you reinstall, you will get a QuickScribe message—it's not an error. You mmake it go away by right-clicking on the app, Show Package Contents/Contents/Resources/QuickScribeX. Click on Install Font and you're good.

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
Btw...if anyone is wondering how to find the Reverse plug-in in DP 9.02, here's how:
In Tracks IOverview window, select and highlight an audio track.
From the Audio Menu, choose Apply Plug-In...
This opens the Apply PlugIns menu (which is not the same as the menu that opens when you double-click on an insert slot in the mixing board).
You can choose MOTU on the left and then on the right side you'll see the list of available plug-ins, including Reverse.
This brings up an issue I think MOTU should address. The Reverse plug-in should be available in the plug-in menu when you double-click an insert slot. I really have never understood why it is only available in the Audio Menu Apply Plug-Ins menu.

Re: Reverse Plug In and Reverse Phase not in DP 7.22?
Reverse requires a time selection and to create a new soundbite. You can't reverse audio in real time. That's why it isn't available as an insert.
