You know what might be interesting, David, is to take a track you've done in SM's sax, trumpet, or trombone, and let me see how close to it I can get (or to the actual instrument it models) with WIVI, using your keyboard-driven track. In fact, the method might be a good precedent for comparing instruments, plugins, or whatever. It could be a side project without a timetable; just whenever either of us gets the urge to work on it. Let me know if you'd like to try it sometime. I think we'd learn something no matter how it turned out.

Yeah, that might be a good idea. Pretty swamped now with pre-NAMM stuff, five
CD projects, and creating more sound libraries for the Yamaha Motif XS and XF,
but when the dust settles it would be fun to do.

I haven't listened to the new demos yet, as I am finishing up learning some new tunes for a jazz gig on Sunday. I hope to give it a quick listen later tonight though.

So much informative text on this post.... now for the snarky reply:
Soprano Sax? is there a "broken in haft reed" patch? I know that one will sound real.

Hi mhschmieder,
I found some talk on other forums about Yellow Tools having problems with their platform on previous versions (2.x.x)?
I just want to say that I am not experiencing any issues with Independence Pro 3.0.
At first I thought, I waisted money, because the registration process, it's not straight forward, it really stinks, but once I got passed that and put it to use, I've found that a lot of the sounds are very usable and the new version, it's quite stable.

+1 and Independence 3 work very fine with Lion & DP
