Re: DP Patch List Graphics Anomaly-With Video!
YES YES YES.
This is EXACTLY what's happening to me aswell, since dp 7.0 (am now on 7.23) It was touched on in another topic, but noone ever got to the bottom of it.
Granted, I've got tons of VI's and MIDI tracks, but this can happen even in the most basic of sequences. I've emailed MOTU loads, with no reply. It's not just patch lists. The graphics anomoly can come anywhere (also in the level box, and where all the data is shown). It does, however, seem to be restricted to the tracks overview window.
No idea whether it's a mac or motu thing. It happens on all 3 of my systems, in my different studios, which have identical set-ups, so it could well be down to the plug-ins aswell. I just don't know. It's a PITA.

Sure looks like bad RAM. May not be the problem, but could you guys with the problem list your RAM amounts, vendors, and types?

With me (OSX 10.6.7 and DP 7.22) it seems to be only the Spectrasonics VIs.

Nope to bad RAM - 16 gigs in the various Master macpros. Crucial on 2 of them, but then I thought excactly what you're suggesting, so when i created my 3rd set-up, I just used (choke at the cost) Apple stuff. Have tested them all - all fine.
Any other ideas?
(BTW, this happens with and without the Spectrasonics stuff for me. It's possible VE Pro is the culprit, but not sure why this would affect other windows?)

Re: DP Patch List Graphics Anomaly-With Video!
I just searched my email thinking that I had a reply from Spectrasonics in there somewhere. I didn't.
I'll send them a screen shot later and see what their response is.

Re: DP Patch List Graphics Anomaly-With Video!
This may be a different issue. The one I was familiar with and Buzzy included video of, as I recall, was strictly limited to pop-up patchlist menus and it was related to some Spectrasonics VIs. This MIGHT be unrelated.doodles wrote:Here's an example. (normally lot worse than this!)

I have a similar problem but with the Sequence editor where that window goes weird visual and non-functional. Can happen at anytime but specifically happens when i import an audio file into the side bar tracks window. Weird and annoying and still happening.

Re: DP Patch List Graphics Anomaly-With Video!
James, you might be right, but it seems highly co-incidental that it's the same kind of warped graphics as with the Spectrasonics stuff. It happens on menu pull-downs, default patch lists, etc. It's like some warped excel spreadsheet. Only happens in the main sequence editor. This may be a different issue. The one I was familiar with and Buzzy included video of, as I recall, was strictly limited to pop-up patchlist menus and it was related to some Spectrasonics VIs. This MIGHT be unrelated.
What's weird is it's replicable on EVERY one of my 3 identical set-ups.

Re: DP Patch List Graphics Anomaly-With Video!
Does it look the same as the kind of thing I've posted? (there's normally a lot larger area greyed out.) If I pull down on a menu, when it happens, the window greys out as far as the cursor has been pulled down. The only way to get rid of it is to press Play, almost as if the window needs this to refresh itself. Clicking on a finder window and back on the DP one makes no difference.hrw » 29 Jul 2011 01:11 am
