You can have sub folders in the presets folder, so just create another folder named whatever and drag these presets in - it won't effect whatever's there already. Loading presets with the disk icon in the LM is nothing more than an open file dialog. The scripts you are seeing are from Focusrite and turn on and off extending logging if you're having problems and need some deeper diagnostics.

James Steele wrote:Okay... further questions:

I noticed the following:

1) There is already a Liquid Mix folder in the location you mention.
2) The "ResetLiquidMixLogging" script is there already.
3) My own saved LiquidMix custom presets are in that folder as well

Some questions:

1) If I were to just drag your Liquid Mix folder there, it would ask me if I wanted to delete the old Liquid Mix folder and I would then delete my own presets.

2) If my own presets reference the original names of the Liquid Mix .lss files, if I delete the originals will my presets not be able to load?

3) What about the ones that are designated by "application" like "Master-" or "DrumBus-" are those supposed to be replaced?

4) Is the point to just Merge these in with the original files and then start using them from then on?

I guess I'm just a bit confused as to the ramifications of replacing the whole folder or deleting any of the original files.

Yes, I just merged the files into the other ones in the folder. Then my own snapshots remain as well as the LM presets.

Wait a minute...looks like I already had someone's snapshots in there that I found on the internet a while ago. This guy named them "COMP - ****" and "EQ - ****" so they all are in the same place alphabetically in that folder. It is a little easier to locate what you want that way, I think, if you just renamed all of them with those prefixes in front of the names.

Here's this other guy's snaps if anyone doesn't understand what I am trying to explain:

How embarrassing is that? I already had these and had forgotten about them.

To clarify -

The folder you want to put the patches in is:
User/Library/Application Support/Liquid Mix

Don't delete that folder, just drag the new names
into it. These are presets you are dragging in, not
emulations. The existing presets in this folder can be
kept.

The "ResetLiquidMixLogging" script file can be replaced
with the newer one. It's basically an uninstaller
script. If you get a messaage when trying to overwrite it
that you do not have "sufficient priveleges", then drag
the old ResetLiquidMixLogging script into the trash, and
drag the newer one in.

Good Questions!

Just merge them in.

They should be additional - I had them in my LM folder so when I made these I just zipped mine up - so don't delete anything, just merge these.

Hope this answers your question!

Just in case there are any other "ready fire aim" boneheads like me out there. Here is where you can get the factory snapshots back... http://www.focusrite.com/support/software/liquid_mix/

OK, I´m loving this presets, I´m feeling bad for not getting around to do them myself long before.
Thanks again.

OTOH I´m unable to use my own folders inside the default presets folder. I can only access presets in the root of the folder (I don´t even see the folders in the LM display)

Sorry for the late reply!

What I do is keep this folder on my desktop - don't replace anything- and load them from the LiquidMix plugin - hit load new and grab a preset from this folder.
