I some times get stuck MIDI notes as I did in DP6. The reset short cut was set to command 1 and did not work, I changed it to shift 1 and now the short cut works. Still get stuck notes some times.
None of my Monkey Man plug-ins show up.

I confirm stuck notes although easier to undo than before. Seems to happen when pulling the curser backwards sometimes.

Once I closed and re opened the session however,
everything now appears fine.
2. I was able to clone a plug without any trouble.
3.BFD seems to be working for me in Snow Leopard 10.6.1
I can't speak to the other plugins though.
My Only OS is 10.6.1

SD: I'm in the middle of switching all VIs and plugs to the Mac Pro 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon.
Is BFD (1-not BFD 2) Leopard and Intel compatible?
Thanks,
Buzzy
(I haven't changed my sig, yet BTW)

BFD 1 is NOT Leopard/Intel compatible. It may load, but can cause all sorts of weird behaviors with DP knobs, and some sluggishness. At least that is what I found in DP 5.13. Perhaps it will work better with DP 6.02 or DP7.

I have had trouble with BFD2 ever since I upgraded to Leopard/Intel earlier in the year. I am hoping that BFD2 will start working for me again when I get DP7 installed on Snow Leopard over the next few weeks. I definitely miss using that plugin.

My SoundToys plugins give me the "may degrade performance message" when scanned, and sometimes crash the program.

BFD2 seems to work just fine over here in SL10.6.1/DP7 land.

I too have seen the fader bug.
I've also had a problem where I go on my desktop then trying to return to DP I can't get the OS to switch back to it. USing tab does not work clicking on on the control bar in DP will make it play but shortcuts don't work so I had to force quit since top windows aren't there to allow closing or quitting normally.
I still get a fair amount of crashes too.

In general I find the live updating has taken the back seat. Whether it's the mixer's fader, time range selection blue highlighting, counter editing, popping up new windows, or any value editing.
All of these things might be connected in some ways.
But I'm still happy to have a VERY stable DP version. I'm still always scared everytimes DP doesn's respond immediately to one of my commands but In the end, it ALWAYS catch up.

Sounds like you have some deeper issues in your OS/Finder, may or may not have anything to do with DP7 itself. Either way, this behavior obviously isn't normal, and I'd bet money that your fair amount of crashes are another symptom of the same underlying data corruption problem...

Yes you might be right. I hate the thought of having to re-install Snow Leopard from scratch though. It's not so much re-installing everything but more the sample data of my VI instruments. QL Piano alone is 35 DVDs it takes a day to install. I already have a clone of my drive so I'm wondering if I can simply copy of my VI data from it (QL Piano, SD2, Symphobia, Omnisphere, Stylus) instead of doing it manually from the discs. That would be a life saver.

For sure. You shouldn't have to reinstall all the samples again. You just customize the installers to NOT install the samples and then locate the sample libraries from within the VIs.

Yes, there's no way sample data is responsible for this, so no need to re-install any kind of regular document (samples, projects, other user docs) from original discs, just copy from your clones.
But before you subject yourself to a re-install from scratch you should run every diagnostic tool known to Man. Disk Warrior in particular. Maybe you can get around it...?
Good luck!

I used the migration tool when I got my MAC Pro to grab stuff from my G5. I ran DiskWarrior and it looks like I have some corrupted .plist files that is says it can't repair and can cause system stability. So I'll write off a couple days and embark on this re-install thing. I'll wipe clean my main drive install SL and all my apps then copy my sample data from my clone. thanks for the tips
