I never had any problem with the Nomads. They sound great. I use the Rock Amp a lot on pedal steel recordings with awesome and great results.. The Producer Pack is s a bargain and gives u 27 great tools on your palette. The price might be a big joke.. the plugs are not! :D
Ms. Gal-- your input if priceless. Thank you!!

Working fine on Snow Leopard over here.

But yes... download the demo so that you can give them all a whirl before the sale ends on Saturday!

Download the whole set at the bottom of this page:
http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info ... cts_id=272

Then you will need to go directly to Nomad Factory to authorize the plugins. Instructions included in a README file that comes with the download.

Thanks all.

I downloaded the plugs and checked 'em out.
Put up some various tracks and briefly auditioned all of them.
Very cool stuff!
All of this for less than the price of a Waves WUP.

At first test, everything worked fine in DP7 and Snow too.

I'm sold!

You want us to reward you like that? Kinky, Frodo! You've been hanging 'round the dwarf too much, methinks. LOL!

I played with the Nomad (the plugs, not the dwarf) purchased sight unseen at that price and they sound great. I'll use and abuse 'em for sure.

have been looking into this further,I actually have the Studio pro bundle
not the Producer pack 1,so i am trying to figure out if the extras I would get are actually worth writing another "bad check" as our esteemed Hobbit so aptly phrases it.:)

Your Studio bundle includes many excellent-sounding and useful tools.

It looks like you need to consider the Pulse Tec and British Bundle for $249 for vs $448.
The deal may not be so sweet, but knowing what I now know from using the about the above plug-ins, I would still make the purchase.

I downloaded the demos because I was very curious about the combined Pultec MEQ-5 and EQP-1A plug. Well, they got my money about one minute after I put it on the first track. I used it on a female blues singer track and I was blown away by what it did. I sat straight up and went, "Hello, there you are! That's what I've been looking for!"

I honestly have no idea what all these controls do yet. I just used the preset "Female Vocal-1" and the only thing I did was change the peak frequency from 300 to 700.

I also have no idea how good a job Nomad did recreating the sound of the original units, having never used them. But that doesn't really matter or apply to me. It's not like I can patch in the real deal and say, "screw the plug-in." My only decision is whether or not I like the sound and on what tracks.

It's just unbelievable what we can get our hands on these days. But I do need to stop spending $$$ for a while and use the tools I already have so they have time to pay for themselves, and then get some more.

If anyone is interested, I can upload the track with and without the Pultec on the vocal. It's a live performance and I was having trouble dialing it in. This has helped tremendously. It's not done yet, but you can hear the Pultec plug-in at work. Just let me know.

Would love to hear it. Thanks!

I think there are some great sounding plugins in this collection, but obviously overkill is overkill if you already have numerous plugins which are similar. Don't you have the UAD-1 plugs and such? And the Abbey Road bundle?

The simple way out of spending this $249 is to compare some of your favorite plugins with some of the comparable ones from this set. If the quality of of the effect is not significantly better, then you could talk yourself out of getting in on this deal.

(But you'll be sorry!) ;-)

For me, I tried some of these plugins on a few things which such satisfying results that it would torment me not to have them in my toolbox.

I already be.

Indeed, some things are comparable if not similar to UAD-1, but there are enough other from the Nomad bundle which UAD doesn't begin to offer.

Yeah, I'll be upset when these things go back up to $3k.

Here you go, Bob (and anyone else who wants to hear it).

The only difference is the Pultec plug-in on the vox.

Not tweaked yet so it's rough. I did lower the vox track by 1.4 dB after adding the Pultec.
