Re: My Living Hell - METAL

Hey... man... I'm late to this thread... I need to listen to the track first, but Frodo, and others... check out the free version of Drumcore 3. It's called Drumcore FREE and honestly the kit that comes with this free version is pretty slamming for hard rock and probably metal. It's processed I'm sure, but the kick is really slammin and it's got a great ballsy rock sound. It's subjective, but I like it and for FREE you can't beat it. Let me find the link:

Be warned that it is a 1.2GB download, but I highly recommend it. Part of the reason I upgraded my Drumcore to Drumcore 3 was to get that kit as well as have Drumcore be a plug-in now inside DP.

Si, señor!

That sounds awesome!

This is not one of the styles I usually listen to, but I REALLY liked it. As a matter of fact, I downloaded you movies and watched them twice :)
I am really looking forward to listen to them in my studio with decent speakers, especially where you talk about the Guitars and bass (EQ).
Thank you for taking the time to share your work with us.

Good work!

Hell Yeah :D

Amazing recordings!
Upfront and oh so aggressive.
I thought my iBooks speakers would overload and explode!

Seriously, you did a great job.
And I appreciate your extra work,
that you did with the video.

It was something that I was looking for.
Great, I bet the band was very lucky
and so am I!

Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words, Feli. Nothing better than sharing material and work processes between MOTU family members.

And, speaking of that, welcome to this MOTU family!

:)

It's Death Metal not Metal...
It's cool if your into the pissed off thing... for pissed off I like Halford better because it's not a throaty embouchure and I can understand the control aspect but it's cool if your into this kind of thing... quite a few bands have this same exact thing though. Seems to be the trend like autotune.
Good mix though.

Thanks for your input, bud. To be honest I have to say I don't know much about this genre, or ever listen to it for that matter. It sounds like you have a good feel for the nuances of this type of music. I just tell the band to give me commercial tracks as examples so I can mimic the production and mix and away we go! :)
