if janet were smart, shed have whipped out her other mammalian protuberance with a decal that said, "were going to disneyland!" im a much bigger fan of the jackson 2 than the jackson 5. heh

i know the 'boss' was popular to many but listening to his music was kinda like work to me. i often quit before it was over and never got a check outta the deal :)
to me, turning down 6 figures to shout out 4 words would be f-ing goofy(im not taking about minnie) but understand i get told to stfu for free much too often.

steve perry was a good singer. i mostly liked the girls that liked him when i went to the 80s concerts, big hair and razored tease(t-shirts). arguably journey had superior musicianship but when i saw ac/dc open for journey back then, lovin, touching, squeezing seemed too cuddly after just hearing girls got rhythm.
LOL! Very funny, Jeff.

Steve Perry could indeed sing. I mean, how many rock 'n rollers are capable of pulling ballads off, our James and a few others excepted?

I'm kind of freaked out at the number of Steve Perry fans here.

LOL @ stem cell. When my song "Some One of These Days" debuted on a morning radio show here in San Diego, the DJ did this thing he calls "Smash or Trash" where listeners call in and give their opinion live on the air. Was it a "smash" or "trash." I got all favorable comments, but my favorite was when a guy called in and said "Ummm... hey... I was just looking out my window right now and Tawni Kitane is dancing on my Jaguars."

I remember seeing Journey when they opened for someone in Vancouver way back on the late 70s or early 80s. I'll have to check who that was

EDIT: I've narrowed it down to ELP in 1977, Chicago in 1978, or Rush in '78 - I guess I'm allowed to forget since it's over 30 years ago :-).
