Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
like in protools, a way to keep a plugin at the forefront of the windows. Opening a compressor, then making an edit, then trying to find that compressor window again is annoying.
I could just get another monitor though....

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
markers are not sufficent... this feature would be great as it would for example allow you to "mark" certain vocal samples as being the "really good takes" or anything else that you want to stand out from the rest of the track. doing it by markers would not really tell you which track that "really good take" was on! I hated "soundbite colors" it in logic first, then I learned to appreciate it..Originally posted by Splinter:
It's called Markers. Use markers.Originally posted by jeremy bringue:
please ...a way of changing different colors in a audio track like in logic.. when you got a 6 min tracks and looking for the little variation you made on the snare...you just can't find it easely except zoom to the max .... that woulb be great to had different color to the same audio track ..please

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
I'd like to be able to set up a keyboard shortcut for "Quantize Pitch" rather than having to go through menus. It's not listed in the Commands Window.

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
Here's a new suggestions... make the F$#%ing thing fast already! I have a dual G5 and the program gets unusable almost with CPU at 60%! sure I got tons of Softsynths going and audio tracks and FX on everything but it just seems as soon as my production gets halfway complete DP gets very sluggish, making the rest of the production work a nightmare of slowness and sluggishness...
This might need a DP5 me thinks...

BIG wishlist... make Track freezing more like logic. IMHO track freezing in DP is useless, unless I am missing something. in logic, a track is frozen "in place" and is done not in realtime. This makes track freezing a pleasure and actually usefull. Who wants to freeze a 10 min keyboard line in realtime, only to make 1 change to the arrangment and have to do the WHOLE THING AGAIN! besides in DP, unless I am mistaken, you still have to remove the softsynth you froze to free up resources, which in logic is done by simply muting the synth - again done automatically as part of the freezing process..
it might sound like I am a logic use come to DP, but I actually am a DP user that defected for a short (horrible) period and came back the greatest DAW around... I just seen some things on the logic side that would be great to see in DP...

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
Aha! In the menu it is listed as "Quantize Pitch" so I searched for that in the Commands Window and found nothing. In the Commands Window it is listed as "Quantize Audio Pitch" Thank you Sir 666!

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
I agree that freezing in Logic is so much more elegant. I never even use it in DP because it doesn't seem that far removed from bussing the VI to a track and pressing record. Logic's handling of VIs, where one tracks controls "MIDI" and audio, makes freezing a simplified process. DP segregation of tracks makes it a little tougher.Originally posted by Rush909:

I tell you what, though. When it comes to multi-timbral VIs, DP's blows Logic out of the water for simplicity and elegance. Routing multiple channels of MIDI to a single VI in Logic is a pain in the ass.
But as far as CPU management, DP will conserve juice if you mute the VI track. Much like Logic.

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
I presume you have to switch that setting on still even in 4.6 right? unfortunatly that makes playback stutter if you mute/unmute audio tracks while you are rolling.. no good in my book as I often mute/unmute things on the fly while arranging/mixing... With DCPUM you think they would be able to get around this annoying behaviour...Originally posted by blue:

Re: 4.6.1 wishlist
Ok, that brings up another question. I just read up on DCPUM and now I want to know why you would want to disable it?
