Dood. MOTU should shoot you a little commission for this, because this has made me decide to go ahead and pull the trigger on the DP6 upgrade! Prolly going to wait for 6.01 (or 6.1, whatever they decide to call it) to hit before I actually install though.....but having an easy way to improve the GUI removed my last inhibition about ordering the UG.

Well done Amplidood!
Although I like the new DP6 skin right of the box, yours is a great subtitute. I'm starting a new project with it to see and who knows, I might decide to keep it as my default skin!

Thanx

After seeing this, I just might have to order DP6. I still might wait until the next release but, at least now, I have hope and see a future for DP6 in my life. Too bad you can't do "3-D" or shadow enhancements.

Great work, Dood. :D

Man, I so agree with you. I wish I had started learning how to do this stuff years ago...I might have been able to generate a second source of income. Maybe some genius will come along and run with my ideas to the next graphic level. Sure is a lot of work.

Thanks again for the encouragement.

Tx a lot. I was skeptical with the screenshots but I got to used to it pretty quick...

Keep it coming, Doodster. :D

Hey, I wonder if it'd be worth including all update history in that first post?

Andy, I heard your song "In Her Eyes" while visiting your website (for that earlier DP GUI link). Nice work. Beautiful voice.

I was working with DP5 the other day and made the track colors in the mixer look really cool. I then imported that file into DP6 and immediately that coolness was lost because there was no more sharp contrast between the dark grey and radiant colors. It's an obvious thing (obviously) but you're reintroducing that lost contrast. It's going back to the grey that was (and may soon be again?).

I'm just referring to the channel colors in the mixer, nothing more.

Good stuff. :)

R.

I like 1.6. Very [ahem] "traditional" looking. ;)

The thing that still gives my heart unrest is the windows on the fx inserts and busses: greenish and bluish/purplish.

What about a "beige-ish" thing - for both, like the one you used below this section? I'm thinking in terms of uniformity on both levels. Just a thought. If you want to throw a rock, I'm over here [waving].

Amazing work overall, but I'm somewhat in agreement regarding the above post...,
