to say i know not how to choose monitors is not offensive its painfully accurate. i feel confident enough in hearing, "many people like brand X and/or brand Y monitors," to pick whats best for me. i can learn as i go and feel secure my gear is not the weak link as i begin my journey into improving my recordings.

*i did contact the c5 tiny company and got a price list but unless i read it wrong it had those monitors at over $2000.00 ea. us dollars? id like to say i could afford them but my pockets are shallower than that.

adams and dynaudio models are both at guitar center so thats good. i know there was a big genelec 1040 or 50? i 4get and smaller genelec(maybe 1030?) there too. that covers alot.

*the person who answered my email was curious who suggested them to me. i gave them info that it was a poster in the mark of the unicorn forums but gave no name.

thanks all for your continued suggestions to get me properly situated.

Must be a misunderstanding of some sort.

I've ordered a pair (they're only sold in pairs, btw) for Sweden from Thomann in Germany, and the pair is about 1500 USD (equivalent) including Swedish 25 per cent VAT!

You might want to check again...

So, what are you saying? Are the JBL's better than the Adam's? How do they differ? Why are you "in love?"

These things have an incredibly tight low-end response with excellent mids. The problem I've had for some time is this dang Argosy desk blocks the bass response from the best position in the room. So the idea of a monitor with great bass response is appealing to me as the bulk of what I do IS that kind of music, however what I don't like is the high-end separation of detail as compared to the ADAM's. My S1A's have no equal with any other brand. I don't know, maybe I just need the S2.5A's afterall.
