Does DP do AAF transfers? Any benefit to that over OMF?
AAF (at least in DP) will not allow "references" to soundbites, it forces you to allow a full copy of the audio data. That is much wasted space! All I want is the OMF document. I then drag that onto the PT icon in the doc. PT then creates a new session FROM the references.

I use AAF coming out of Logic, however, as Logic will not export volume automation with OMF, but will with AAF.

I tried AAF but got an error in PT on import.
I am trying OMF now but cannot get PT to see Mixer Volume and Pan settings. I tried taking a snapshot.

Thanks for all your help - much appreciated.

Also - is there a way to bring a stereo DP track into a stereo PT track?
It is bringing it in a 2 mono tracks.

Thanks -

Pan settings won't transfer. Not sure what you are doing wrong as far as the volume automation goes, but that definitely works.

You have to fix that manually.

I got it going. Was not used to having PT faders slowly moving to the automation point. Used to DP of just snapping. Surprised about the pan settings. I tried it with AAF files but its the same.
