Personally, I'd much rather see a 5.13. Think about it.

What we shall do when she arrives, I predict we will at first love it, claiming that it is "snappier" than DP 5.12. The next phase is disillusionment, which occurs when we discover that one esoteric feature, which each of will claim is a "deal breaker" is missing. Finally, we will settle in with our new software, make amends, and then return to the discussions of "where's DP7"?

Hang on... the MachFiveII sit-in's always been in the MachFive section.James Steele wrote:Oh... not already!!!Moving to the OT Forum.
I did, and I came up with the proposition that DP's already past her 5<->5.5 series keeper version, that being 5.11, which arrived last November if I remember correctly.James Steele wrote:Personally, I'd much rather see a 5.13. Think about it.
It's still goin' mate.simonr wrote:hey guys, thought I'd just drop in to see how the sit-in was going.

Yep, quality control in the manufacturing process is what it takes. I suspect it is an outsourcing problem. I had similar problems with Symphonic Choirs. Eventually I got an entire set of disks from East West that actually installed properly, but only two of the disks were part of the original set I received.Frodo wrote:It all starts with the installation, doesn't it? I'd go ape over that!billf wrote:*Flings another poo ball*monkey man wrote:I'll fling the first poo ball and say she's on her way, and that she'll be the intermediate step between where we are now and where we'll be at version 6.0.
My simian furry friend, I rarely dispute your prognostications, having been in complete awe over your uncanny accuracy over the eons. But this time I am not so sure. 5.5? Well perhaps, I know better than to cast doubt on the Oracle of the Monkey. So, I will yield and agree on a possible 5.5 deployment, but, here's the curveball. What if MOTU did something like this:
What: DP 6.
When: Summer 08.
What's in the Box:
- * Updated GUI
* Font Resizing
* Bundle of MachFive 2.5, MSI, Ethno, MX4, and a New Drum and Bass VI
* New Plugins: Guitar Amp, ImpulseVerb, and EQ Matching
* Revamped Plugins: New Masterworks Bundle, updates to Delay et al
* Live Style Time Stretching
* No Bugs
* New Optimization
* New Mastering Bundle (stereo editor, mastering plugins, track notes, digital download prep, etc)
* 40 GB of Monkey Mania Samples, Featuring the Classic Banana Loops
* Plus more, maybe
Would this make you a happy Monkey?
