I did try the following steps as advise by mofo tech support

change the video file - ( redigitise or transcode )

throw away analysis and fades...

Compact projects...

If you suspect a corrupt audio file -
I have had success with files crashing on opening - use sound grinder to transcode from sd to wav and back again - it has a useful option whereby the names will remain identical.

a similiar effect can be done in DP by exporting OMF's and make it recreate all files that way...

PS make sure you write to motu with this issue - they claim I'm the only one...

weird thing is it tends to be 1 file in 5 that goes this way,... - other projects have no issues...

I was working with DP for 12 hours today and not one crash... but some days grrrrrrrrrrrr

Hey,
thank you all for the reply's i've been away for a few days

I 'm also thinking it has something to do with incompatible plug ins
however I made my project template including all plugs before I even started

merging soundbites is just not a right idea in my opinion

changing the save command is a good idea I haven't thought about.

yeah me too - I use a project which I then save a copy as and duplicate audio ( even tho there isn't any)

this is better than the the template - I can set up things like all the insert automation....

( I use 3 different verbs usually - and find it very boring to insert send a, etc....)

To answer auptowns questions.

I'm running DP 5.11, G5 DP 2,3 Ghz 2 GB ram altiverb 5, Motu 828II and some outboard wich makes it impossible to use the onboard soundcard.

my project runs from one single drive, First the internal and I have my BU drive connect to FW 800 together with an other FW800 drive wich contains my sound library
later I switched to the First FW800 drive as my work disk and the internal as a BU disk

and synchronize them mannualy every 10 minutes
